PA (October 15, 2002)- Ballantine Management
Group of Allentown, PA announced
today that the Pennsylvania Expo
Center would re-open for business
the last weekend of December 2002. The
facility is located in South Whitehall
Township, PA on the site formerly occupied
by Builders Square. |

| The Pennsylvania
Expo Center at Lehigh Valley
which boasts over 95,000 square feet
of exhibition
space will quickly become the premier exhibition
facility in Eastern Pennsylvania. Ballantine
Management Group (BMG) has secured a new
long term lease with JTJ Pennsylvania
Properties,
LLC to replace their lease that was rejected
as part of Kmart’s Chapter 11
Bankruptcy filing earlier this year. BMG
expects that the Pennsylvania Expo
Center will become the “destination
of choice” for the area’s
largest trade and consumer show events. |

President / CEO Tom Ballantine commented,
“We are excited to have a long-term
home in the Lehigh Valley and are confident
that the Expo Center will have a significant
economic impact on the region. We are already
negotiating with several regional trade
associations that could bring in upwards
of 1500 to 3000 room nights per event to
the Lehigh Valley.” Mr. Ballantine
also added, “We worked diligently
with South Whitehall Township and other
local officials to make this project a reality
to only have it fall victim to a the bankruptcy
of a Fortune 500 corporation. “We
experienced phenomenal success in our opening
months of 2002 and fully expect to continue
to contribute to the local economy in a
positive fashion.” Additionally, the
Pennsylvania Expo Center
management team is committed to the long
term success of the center and will make
significant investments to improve the existing
facility. |
